Babyshower Favors

Baby Shower Favors are easiest to think of when you tie them closely to the party theme. They add fun, color and decorations to an already happy event. Baby supplies are often used as favors when giving a Baby Shower. Then, the winner of the favor has the option of keeping the item or giving it to the mom-to-be. Some examples and ideas of this include:

  • Use booties as treat bags for game prizes or favors. Take baby socks and fill them with assorted candies and chocolates. Tie each pair together with ribbon. They look cute as can be and once the treats are gone, the socks can be given to the new mom to use.
  • Baby bottles filled with jellybeans can double as weights for helium balloons and favors for guests.
  • If you have craft friends set up a table with cloth diapers and craft paints, paintbrushes, and even some chunky stamps of various designs. Let each guest decorate one diaper to be used as a burp cloth. The mom-to-be can decorate a canvas tote bag which can then be used as a door prize of the party. Fun for all!
  • Gingerbread or sugar cookie cutters with ribbon or lace glued on to them and attached to a tried-and-true cookie recipe is always a hit. Feel free to put a big plate of cookies as part of the display for people to sneak a snack from during game play.
  • Having a special “Pre-Release” party using music industry-type references can be reinforced with fun favors like personalized CDs can be made of different kinds of fun songs. Including songs from oldies like “You Must Have Been a Beautiful Baby” to sing-a-longs and lullabies will make a great mix. A specially- designed CD cover makes it extra personal with the date of the party and the “anticipated release date” of the expected child. DonÂ’t forget to give a copy to mom, she may really need some practice on the lullabies and children sing-a-longs. You can also incorporate songs into the games themes as well by doing name that tune clues to guessing games, etc. It really is too fun not to try it.
