Babyshower Favours

Baby Shower Party Favors add another dimension to the Shower festivities. Some will carry on the theme of the party, others will just be more eclectic and fun items to act as a souvenir of the day. Some Baby Shower Party Favors that have been tried and proved to be liked include:

Scented votive candles, decorated with circles of pink/blue/green or even yellow tulle and ribbon make a great smelling favor. To make it a specific baby-shower item, feel free to glue on miniature baby bottles, teddy bears, pacifiers, or rattles to fit the color theme.

A Winnie the Pooh shower with Baby Shower Party Favors that relate to the various Pooh characters can also be fun. Consider these:

  • Pooh – Pots (or bottles) of honey, with gingham cloths or ribbons to tie to the color theme
  • Rabbit – A pack or two of gardening seeds, carrots would be great (of course) because they can be grown indoors all season long!
  • Eeyore – Bath soaps or salts to soak his tired worn down bones would be a perfect thought – heÂ’s blue so make the soaps or salts the same.
  • Tigger – Because Tiggers like to bounce it needs to be something with a lot of spring to it. Perhaps a slinky, a bouncy ball of some sort, or anything along those lines.
  • Piglet – Piglet is afraid of everything, so think about a candle or a nightlight to keep him safe from the dark.
  • Kanga & Roo – Kanga is the perfect mom, always making yummy treats for little Roo, so a baking pan or cookie cutters would be perfect.
  • Edibles are always good party favors. Think about fancy little truffles or chocolates in the miniature boxes, tulle bags, or wrapped in pretty colored netting and tied with a bow. Boxes of microwave popcorn saying “SheÂ’s about to Pop!” or gourmet coffee or tea with a note saying “A baby is brewing!” can also be a lot of fun.

Is it ok to plan my own Babyshower?

I am currently 14weeks and expecting my first. I am psyched about the Babyshower. I have already started making the guest list and looking for favours and such. I know that someone other than myself is suppose to plan it, but I am just the type that likes things done a certain way. My aunt says she would help, but is it ok that I am 100% involved in everything? I want it in July. How many weeks/mnths in advance do I send out the invitations? Thanks
Thanks to everyone that took the time out to answer. But I do agree that it’s MY babyshower and it should be done my way. Besides I am doing it more for a get together then just trying to be greedy and just get gifts, it’s not even like that. Thanks to all.

It is fun and wonderful to plan your own baby shower, you get to choose what you like , it is just fine and great that you are involved! You could get your husband involved too, it is also nice to have the guys attend the baby shower.Send out the invitations a month before the baby shower so people have plenty of time to plan to attend, the summer months are busy with everyone taking vacations. Enjoy and have fun. Best wishes and Congradulations on your first child!
