Baby Shower Centerpiece

I have to be honest, I’m never SUPER excited to get that invitation to a Baby Shower in the mail. I actually usually have a lot more fun than I anticipate having, although I still try to avoid those baby-shower games whenever I can. The exception, of course, is the “Baby Shower at work”. Because of course anyone would rather eat cake and gossip and talk about new babies than actually work!
The problem with those work Baby Showers is that it’s tough to throw them, in the conference room or some set-aside meeting space, and have them look any different or more special than a boring conference room. Luckily, there’s some decorating ideas that are not only cute and stylish, but practical!
One of the best ones is a diaper cake centerpiece. These look like tiered cakes, complete with stuffed animal decorations-but are made of itty-bitty, perfect for new baby, diapers that mom can use! Baby diaper cakes have actually been around for a while, but they are getting much cuter and more stylish and you can get them, reasonably priced, with lots of cute add-ons that make them the perfect for the focal point of the party. If you know boy or girl, you can choose the “sex” of your diaper cake centerpiece; if it’s a surprise, you can get gender neutral versions, still with cute animals or toys as add-ons-try a search for “Baby Shower Diaper Cakes” and you’ll have lots of options.
Another cute décor idea: stringing a clothes line across the back of the conference room, and having everyone bring baby clothes gifts. You can get colorful clothes pins and pin the outfits across the clothes line-festive, cute, and functional all at once, and EVERYONE likes shopping for baby clothes! If there’s no room to string a clothes line, you can use this same concept by filling a diaper bucket with a clothes line with newborn clothes, bibs, etc pinned to it; pulling the line out of the diaper bucket (or hamper) is fun when it’s loaded with goodies, and this is a good way to make a cute gift presentation in a small space (plus helps mom get everything home easily!)
A final good “work shower” idea is to have everyone bring in favorite books for the new baby; this is a wonderful way to help build the baby’s library with a diverse selection of books mom or dad might never have read and kept as favorites, from childhood. Buying books is fairly economical, so especially if the shower is for a co-worker, may be easier than some other, more personal items (for instance, work colleagues shouldn’t be expected to provide breast pumps, dress shields, etc!) Some of my children’s favorite books came from a little baby girl gift basket I received, stuffed with a selection of books for girls specifically, and I’m a firm believer that you can never have TOO many books.

Princess Baby Shower Theme Ideas and centerpieces?
Just wanted to know are tiara’s (costume of course) sitting on top of silver plated cardboard stars with a wand a good idea for a Baby Shower Theme Centerpiece? Also, I really dont want it to look plain so if you have any other suggestions of what I can use for the centerpiece to incorporate baby please help.. Also, any resources will be nice, and greatly appreciated.
I dont know if a part city is available where you live, but you can look online. They have a whole bunch of princess stuff, including life size cardboards for the walls. I have seen princess like lamps and that might be fun as the center piece. I think the tiaras are a great idea! You can get plates, napkins, cups, and pretty much any dining accessory you can think of. GOOD LUCK> and Congrats to the mom (hopefully you!!)
