Wondering what kinds of Baby Shower favors to make? If you are looking for some homemade Baby Shower favors to send your party guests away with, why not buy a kit and create some impressive handmade creations that will leave them dazzled? Here are three different things that are fairly easy to make when you buy convenient do-it-yourself kits:

1. Homemade Soaps – Impress the guests by sending them home with handmade soaps made especially by you. Soap making kits with enough supplies to make 20-25 bars of scented soaps cost around $30. Buy some organza fabric and ribbon from the craft supply store to wrap the soaps up nicely.

2. Handmade Candles – Everybody loves a nice candle so by purchasing a candle making kit and making homemade candles as Baby Shower favors, you are sure to have plenty of happy and impressed party guests. Making candles for your guests will cost you a little more than soap. A kit with enough supplies to make ten 4oz. jar candles will cost you close to $30. Present the candles to guests by putting them in small gifts bags or tiny gift boxes decorated with ribbon or by simply tying a bow around the jars.

3. Scented Body Lotions – How impressed will your party guests be if you send them home with homemade Baby Shower Favors of body lotion? Lotion making kits with enough supplies to make twelve 4oz. bottles run around $25. Tie a ribbon and a thank you gift tag around the bottles for a cute, simple presentation.

Homemade Baby Shower Favors add an extra personal touch to your party. Just be sure not to take on more than you can handle and allow yourself plenty of time to make your favors!

Going to a baby shower after a miscarriage?

I had a m/c a little over 5wks ago and am still very upset since we had been trying for our 3rd child. Anyways, my cousin has a Babyshower this weekend and I don’t feel I can handle it b/c it is too soon. I wrote her mom an email b/c I couldn’t get a hold of them on the phone (and dont have cousins email) explaining I wouldn’t be able to go b/c it is to soon, only to get an email saying to get over it and be happy w/ what I have. Since this IS her first and I should be happy for them and just move on.. I am happy for them. I feel like they dont care how I feel.
Also, none of my family (even my cousin & aunt) called to ck on me or to say they were sorry or anything after the m/c. I didnt want their sympathy just to know they care, but didn’t get that. What should I do? Am I so wrong for feeling this way? don’t seem like they care to me. sorry to ramble on

Wow i am so surprise that such cold, unfeeling woman exists in the family. Please pardon my language. Yes, they are happy that there is a new addition to the family but that does not mean that you are obligated to feel happy for them and pretend that nothing happens.

Whether it’s the 1st, 4th or 6th, a baby is still a baby and a miscarriage is not something that you had planned. Instead of feeling for you and be more understanding, your aunt is actually building her happiness on your sorrow. You are not wrong to feel that way and I sympathize with you. Do what you think is best for yourself and I am sure you do not want to go for the baby shower and cry on seeing the baby. You could just have a Baby Shower Gift deliver to her and inform her at the same time that you will not be able to make it.

Take care of yourself and God bless. You can try for another one soon. If you need someone to talk to, please talk to your husband or some counselling people.
