Baby Showers, in some form or another, have been around for centuries. Baby Shower invitations sparks curiosity about the origin of the party. The shower for pregnant women came into fashion after World War II. Before then, tea parties or formal gatherings were held after the baby was born. This tradition can be traced to the Victorian era, when it was considered unacceptable for pregnant women to be seen in public. Although some still follow the traditional ladies-only format, the custom is falling by the wayside as it has become more acceptable for couples to attend so-called “co-ed” showers together and for adopting parents to have adoption showers. What is a wishing well for a baby shower?
I am going to a baby shower tomorrow and on the invitation it says “wishing well” what do I bring for this??
Its small baby items that the host will put in a box for the mom. Stuff like rattles, bibs, bottles, wipes, sometimes diapers…
And then you give your normal gift. Have fun!
