Baby Shower Thank You Wording

What’s the proper way to say thank you?

Help! I need suggestions on what to write on my Baby Shower thank you note. I received a bunch of gifts (stroller, baby bouncer, feeding bottles, diapers, etc…) from my coworkers who contributed to buy all those gifts. In other words, my coworkers chip in their cash together to buy some gifts from my baby registry. Unfortunately, most of these coworkers weren’t able to attend my Baby Shower, but still I would like to send a thank you note to each of them.

First – please do NOT mention to anyone that they were not at your shower! (It just amazes me to see the things that people want to write, say, or do as “thank you’s”!)

While these people did not attend your shower, they were still kind enough to kick in money to be applied towards the gifts that you received. That, in itself is a kind thought. Sorry – I think I am writing this more for the people who think you should throw a party (?!??) and whatever else they think you should do or say as a thank you! My apologies! Back to you!

You should, of course, send everyone of these people a thank you. While every good thank you references the gift received and how it will be used, I think we can sort of group the gifts and maybe skip over the “how it will be used”. After all, disposable diapers are pretty self-explanatory!

I would say something to this effect – thank you so much for your (kind, generous, thoughtful – fill in your own word) gifts to help us fill our baby’s room (nursery)! From the stroller to the bouncer to the diapers to everything else – These are all items that we will use every day and we will remember your thoughfulness each time we use them! Thanking you again,
our love (our thanks) (our best wishes)
