Baby Shower Stuffed Animals

i have a singer sewing machine thats a few years old?
my cousin’s Baby Shower is coming up around july and i want to make her new bordn baby a dinosaur as his first stuff animal, i have this singer sewing machine which i know how to use thing is when i tried sewing the top side was nicely sown but the back side wasnt stiched on, the string instead made big loops over and over, how do i fix this?
Dig out the manual and rethread, this time with the presser foot UP so the upper thread can get into the tension. Then start your seams correctly.
Loose loops on the bottom of the fabric is almost always lack of tension on the upper thread.
The difference between http://www.picturetrail.com/sfx/album/view/21916693 and http://www.picturetrail.com/sfx/album/view/21916554 or http://www.picturetrail.com/sfx/album/view/21916617 is entirely in actually engaging the upper thread in the tension and holding the ends of the thread tails when starting the machine.
Upper tension for most stitches, most fabric is about 4 (range 3-5). If you’re having to go outside that range to get normal stitching, the machine probably is due for a good cleaning and/or a trip to the shop.
