Taking care of a newborn is a 24/7 job and definitely can wear on a new mom, especially one functioning on very little sleep. Some babies are good sleepers right from the start while others take their sweet time falling into a regular sleep schedule that affords new parents a decent night’s sleep. The topic of trying to get a newborn to sleep and stay asleep is an age old dilemma and there are many schools of thought on how to accomplish this rather difficult task.
Getting Your Baby To Sleep
One method is to put your newborn on a sleep schedule whereby you try to keep them awake during the day so they sleep at night. Another approach is to let a baby develop a regular sleep schedule at their own pace, much to their parents’ dismay. The bottom line is that newborns do sleep a great deal in fact; they need all the sleep because that is the time they grow. Some parents establish a soothing bedtime routine that starts with a warm bath, some clean and cozy pajamas and ends with a little time rocking with you in the rocking chair. They usually have no trouble at all falling asleep in your arms and the tricky part comes when you attempt to put them in their crib, on their backs of course, because they inevitably wake up and force you to retreat to the rocking chair. It’s like a dance that goes on throughout the night until either baby is too tired to notice the change from your arms to her crib or you give up out of sheer exhaustion and surrender to sleep in the rocking chair. Regardless, baby will get a good night’s sleep; however, you will not and will be faced with a busy day of taking care of your baby on limited quality sleep. Remember, it’s safer to lay baby down on her back and without any toys or pillows in her crib that she could accidentally suffocate on.

I am writing a cute little poem for my auntie’s Baby Shower! But I don’t know if it sounds good… this is how it goes… and please tell me like it is if it sucks I would really like to know the truth and I won’t be mad!
A baby is like a bunny
And its can be really funny
They both have small hands and toes
And they know what they want and go
They both are very cute
They wiggle and giggle and eat fruit
They both dream of sleeping on clouds

The only catch is where the line ^ up there is I need the last and final verse or a very good word that rhymes with clouds and maybe I could come up with something good!

Very cute, a lot of potential and a good idea for a poem.
I hope you dont mind if i suggest some small changes, mainly taking some words out so it flows better.
I think it would sound better if you changed the second line to:
It can be really funny.
Maybe it would sound better if you take out some of the ‘They’s too, so it would be like this…
A baby is like a bunny
It can be really funny

They both dream of sleeping on clouds
I’m not too sure about the line
‘They know what they want and go’
Maybe you could think of something different to go after the line about toes, and then use the they know what they want and go in another verse?
