A baby shower is one of the biggest celebrations that any mother can go through. And because of its festive atmosphere, a baby shower is more akin to a really casual party than a black-tie or cocktail dress affair. Because of this there are a lot of things that can be done to make the celebration even more fun. One of these methods is by playing some really fun party games!

But what kind of games can you decide to play in order to commemorate this important event? I bet most all of the guests are too old to play pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey or Trip To Jerusalem. Some may even walk out of it with a broken hipbone! But there are a few games that people of all ages are sure to enjoy! One of these, which is just so right for the situation, is the Baby Song List game.

Contrary to popular opinion, you don’t have to know a lot of baby songs or nursery rhymes to win at this game. But instead it’s a race against time to list down all of the songs with the word ‘baby’ in their titles. Here’s an example of how a particular list should be like:

Alice’s List- Be My Baby, Baby Baby, Baby Can I Hold You, Always Be My Baby, Baby Come Back… etc.

Jean’s List- Baby Got Back, Sweet Baby, Baby Love, One For My Baby… etc.

The player who lists down the most number of songs with the word ‘baby’ on it gets the victory! Remember to prepare prizes for the winners as well as consolation prizes for all those who participated. As a bonus, you can even ask the participants to write the singer of the song and get bonus points for it. It can be two points for a song and author, and one point for just a song on its own.

This is only just one game that you can try to brighten up your baby shower. If you want more ideas for this game or other party games, you should definitely go to:

Baby Shower Invitations?

Since I havent been able to find out the sex of my baby- Ive decided on a “Rubber Ducky” theme for the shower.

I would like to print my own invitations- But I need an idea for what to write in them- Or how to word them.

I want to write something that rhymes and has something to do with “Duckies”- But at the same time is inviting people to my shower.
Can anyone help me?
=]
Im not throwing the shower for myself. My mother is throwing it for me but she asked for my opinion on the theme and invitations- So she could be sure It was what I would want.

I hope a friend is having your shower since it is in bad taste to have one for yourself. It’s like saying: “I’m having a baby. Please give me presents”.
Let your friend worry about the invitation wording.
