Baby Shower Prizes For Games
Baby Shower Prizes For Games

One of the great things about being the host of a Baby Shower is the opportunity you have for creativity. One of the best ways to be creative is to come up with fun Baby Shower games you can play with all your guests. Not only will they keep your guests entertained, but they can be a great source for laughter, stories, personal experiences, and excellent icebreakers when people don’t know much about each other.
There are many good games to play at a baby shower. Some can be printed from your own computer such as ABC’s, Word Scramble, Name the Baby, and Bingo. Others like Scavenger Hunt will require a little extra effort to setup, but can add elements of teamwork and physical activity. One of the best Baby Shower Games is called Guess The Goo, and here’s how it works.
How To Play Guess The Goo
Guess the Goo is also known as Smell the Goo and the Poopy Diaper Game. It may be the only time your guests will consider smelling a “poopy” diaper to be fun. To set up the game you’ll need some disposable diapers and 5-10 different kinds of candy bars. For example, you could use Snickers, York Peppermint Patties, Mounds, Almond Joy, Milky Way, etc.
Take each candy bar and melt it separately in the microwave. Then, take a spoonful of the melted chocolate and smear it around inside one of the diapers. You might want to number the diapers and keep a cheat-sheet saying what kind of candy bar you put in each diaper.
During the baby shower, have your guests pass around the diapers and try to guess what type of candy bar is in each one. Give them a piece of paper and a pen or pencil so they can write down their answers. The guest who guesses the most answers correctly is the Poopy Diaper Queen (or King if you’re throwing a co-ed baby shower) and wins a prize. For a prize, you can do something simple like an assortment of chocolates.
Guess the Goo is fun and one of the best Baby Shower Games because it also allows for a lot of creativity. You can melt items other than chocolate or get jars of baby food to smear in the diapers as alternatives. You can also mix combinations of candy bars to make it more difficult. Just be sure to let your guests know if they are guessing more than one item.
Try a wide variety of candy bars to create various kinds of poo. For example, peanut butter cups will create a light colored, runny poo while something like a Mounds bar will create chunky poo.
