Baby Shower Music Theme

Baby Shower Ideas- Please Help! ?
Hi everyone,
I’m hosting a Baby Shower. I’m so confused on a lot of things. I did a lot of research online but couldn’t find any unique or orignal ideas
on a theme ? color scheme? music to play?…Decorations? Everything seemed tacky and the same old.
The baby is boy due around Valentines day. The mom is a working professional in her late twenties..it’s the 1st baby..Oh and the guests include the future mom’s aunts, cousins, and few friends.
All suggestions welcome.
Please help.I have a lot on my shoulders.
am not sure about a theme as such (where i come from, Baby Showers do not exist)
but from a working mom (with 2 rugrats now), here are ideas for gift:
have every guest bring vouchers for the new mom/dad to redeem once kid is born, such as babysitting during
1 evening,
1 overnight (usually relatives could volunteer for that),
1 afternoon (so mom can nap or do some shopping),
anytime if kid is sick (or mom is sick…)
get them to commit to deliver casserole or dishes frozen in individual portions.
get them to commit to help out in anyway the new mom may appreciate without making her losing control or being over powered.
when the new baby arrives, the parents will be overwhelmed and very tired. anything that helps in that department will be more than welcome!
also, gift cards are more useful than actual items (every new mom has specific view on what she wants). if the gift card idea is not appealling to guests, have the mom register a baby list in a shop: again, she can then select the items she wants. I fully understand that the “opening” of present is nice for all involved, but once everyone is gone, the mom has to deal with everything and it would be better if she actually gets what she feels she needs or want, rather than the cure red heart shape nappy that would be fun for 5 minutes.
I wish my friends had a Babyshower for me1 on the other hand, for having attended a few, I am amazed at the lack of practicality of some of the gifts
