Second Baby Shower – For Twins??
Hello –
My sister is pregnant with twins ( a boy and a girl) due in April. She had her first child in September 2004, a girl. Somone in my family brought up the idea of having a second baby shower for my sister, since she’s having a twins – a boy and a girl. She wasn’t planning on twins, especially financially. I have to write out the invitations and I’d like to add something to the invite to take away from the “tacky-factor” if anyone thinks it’s tacky. Does anyone have any advice for what I could write on the invite? Also, how do you think people will feel when they get the invite. We aren’t inviting everyone we invited to the first – only immediate family and friends to this one. Thanks!
I forgot to mention that this is a SURPRISE shower. My sister would probably ring our necks if she knew we were doing this!
I dont think its tacky at all to have a second , third, or however many Baby Showers you want. If someone wants to throw one for her then great. There is no law against having more than one and if anyone finds it tacky then they dont need to come. Every baby deserves a shower and its ok to have. I am having my 4th baby (my first girl) and my friend is having a shower and everyone we are inviting is very happy about it. I think they are all happy because Im having a girl Finally!, I havent run into anyone that thinks a second or subsequent shower is tacky. ITs for fun and anyone who thinks otherwise is a stick in the mud. She is having Twins and will need all the help she can get with diapers, clothes, sheets, etc….Just send a normal invite.
