A Baby Shower is an event that is very significant to an expectant mom. It is where she’ll be showered with numerous gifts that she may need as soon as her baby arrives. If you are on a tight budget, the following inexpensive ideas below can help you make an excellent baby gift basket while remaining on a tight budget.

As soon as you have received the Baby Shower Invitation, start planning about what Baby Shower Gift to offer. Perhaps the first few things that will come into your mind are clothes, toys, feeding bottles, rattles and the likes, but these may sometimes arrive a bit pricey. With that, a practical starting point is to check all the local adds to see if there are sale going on baby gifts and accessories. Scouting ahead of time gives you a better chance to find perfect baby gifts, at the best prices. Also, try to check local papers for any coupon.

When making an inexpensive baby gift basket, you will first need a basket to hold numbers of baby gifts. Find a good container, but you don’t have to spend too much over this one. You may consider other alternatives to wicker baskets at your local discount store, such as laundry baskets and buckets, which are obviously cheap.

After which, make a list of items that you want to include in your baby gift basket. Consider essential items that newborn babies will need such as baby bottles, clothes, blankets, burp cloths, wash cloths, shampoo, soaps, lotion, oil, diapers, booties, socks, hats, rattles, teething toys and the likes. Such items are a few that moms will need when caring their baby. Make sure to carry your list when you go shopping and crash out the items that you have already purchased. That will give you some sort of reference, as well as avoid you from buying duplicates that will cost you more than you should.

After you are through purchasing all the items you need for your gift basket, you will then need to assemble everything to make a package. If you are really on a tight budget, you can skip buying lining items or any packing item. Instead, you can use what you already have there, like having some baby blankets or burp cloths as the lining of the basket. If you want your basket to have a few levels, insert some small cardboard pieces, which will help make the package look more full. Consider a few cheap, yet attractive embellishments to give an appealing accent on the basket. Lastly, don’t forget include a small note with a short thoughtful words written on it.

Baby Shower Idea’s?

My friend is due in may and she doesn’t have anyone to give her a baby shower but me!! i don’t have the income to go all out. any ideas you can give me to give her the best baby shower without a great expense? any food idea’s that we can serve to the guest about 20 people are coming. what do you think about mailing out invites and have them send gift cards to her and we can go shopping ? i don’t know what to do for her please help !!

as a mom of four i understand your postion on the shower however you cant just ask for gift cards from people. most of them would want to come to wish her well and congrat her on her new soon to be baby. its really easy and simple to throw a shower and it wont cost much. you get some balloons and some crepe paper hang them up and some simple food chips dips veggies pigs in a blanket or even ask the guests to bring a dish. we do this all the time for new mothers at our church and for all of our dinners it makes a nice treat to try something youve never had and makes everyone feel welcome. good luck i hope this helps.
by the way if most of the invits are for ones that dont have alot of money do a second hand/but gently used shower its for items that are used but not torn up.
