Does anyone have cute Ideas For A Baby Shower with a “Tea Party” theme?

I am having my shower in about a month, with a “Tea Party” theme. Invites are already sent, but I need some cute, inexpensive ideas for favors, decorations, games, desserts, etc. Thanks!

You can get tea cups at a dollar store (Dollar Tree is good) and fill them with white, blue and/or pink (whatever’s appropriate) jelly bellies; tie cellophane around it and a ribbon at the top (for favors). Use teapots for flower vases, with fresh flowers … maybe a blue/pink runner on a white table cloth, with chunky candles on the runner with the teapots. If you go to a craft store, you might even find teapot confetti that you could sprinkle along the runner…

Pretty cupcakes on a cupcake tree would be nice; and you might find teacup toppers for it. I haven’t tried this recipe, but heard it was really good! You could either make it for each guest, or put the dry ingredients into a large mug and attach the directions, as a favor…

5-MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE
4 TB flour
4 TB sugar
2 TB unsweetened cocoa powder
1 egg
3 TB milk
3 TB oil
3 TB chocolate chips (optional)
small splash of vanilla extract
1 LARGE coffee mug (get at a dollar store)
….Add dry ingredients to mug and mix well. Add egg and mix thoroughly. Pour in milk & oil and mix well. Add chocolate chips & vanilla; mix again. Put your mug into the microwave and cook for 3 min (1000 watt). The cake will rise oer the top of the mug, but don’t be alarmed! Allow to cool a little – tip onto a plate, if desired. EAT! … This can serve 2, if you want to feel “virtuous”

There’s the old standard game of putting about 20 items on a tray and letting the guests see the tray for about a minute. Then take it away, and they have to list the items they remember. You could do “tea” items on there, along with baby items ….. Or, have each guest bring a baby photo of themselves, and display them. People have to write down who they think each photo is. (that one is fun:)
