I organized a surprised baby shower for one of my colleagues. I collected the money and got her a gift card, then had a lunch out with her. Then announced that was her baby shower at lunch. Of course her lunch was free. That happened yesterday, I am seeing her walking around today, but I don’t see the thank you note. What should I do?

Well sorry to say this but I think you are jumping the gun. It was just yesterday and maybe she is still thinking of doing something special for you guys instead of just a note that says thanks. Even if she doesnt give you a thank you card just be content that you did something nice and one day maybe she will remember and return the favor, like cover for you at work or something.
