It is sometimes difficult to decide whether to settle for homemade Baby Shower invitations or to simply get them from supply stores or the Internet. Well, all this may be influenced by various factors at play for example the money and time available at hand. You may also be thinking of the uniqueness that comes with personally made invitations.

If for any reason you decide to have the Baby Shower invitation made at home, here are just but a few guidelines on how to go about it. First and foremost you need to decide how you want the invitations will look like. Should they be in form of a card, a scroll or a pamphlet? Once you decide on this, the next thing is to think about is the quality of the paper you want to use.

Do you want to use the glossy or plain paper? Do you want them colored or not and if they are colored, should it be a mixture of many different but matching and soft colors or just a single color? You should also decide whether you want all the Baby Shower Invitations to look the same for all your guests or they should have different shapes, sizes and colors, all as different and unique as your invited guests.

While this adds variety to the invitations, it also calls for some extra input and a little more patience before you can achieve the most desired effects but its all about cost effectiveness and efficiency at the end of it all. Try it out and you might just be surprised at the results.

Message on a Baby Shower memento/thank you card?

Hello :)

I’m hosting a baby shower for my friend tomorrow and I have thank you cards to give to the guests as a memento/thank you for coming.
I am attaching the cards to carnations with some ribbon, one for each person, to give after the shower tomorrow. My friend and I decided to do it this way so it is not so formal.

The inside of the card is blank…
The outside of the card says ‘Thank You’

I was thinking of writing inside

“Your presence at the baby shower is(was?) a blessing for my family!”

Not sure if that’s really good or not…
any ideas on something to put inside the card?
Please stop telling me they need to go out after the shower and that I have to include a thank you for the gifts in a personal way. There is no rule that says this and we’ve decided not to.

Cute idea, but you do know that the mother will still have to send out thank you’s for the gifts right? Assuming so, you should just say “Thank you for coming to (mother’s) shower. We can’t wait for you to meet Baby (mother’s last name).
