Baby Shower Book Poem

Baby Shower Book Poem
Baby Shower Book Poem

What do you think of this poem I wrote for a friend who’s having a baby?

I’m not even close to being a poet but she’s having a Baby Shower this month and wants books for the baby instead of cards and I wanted to write something in it.. so what do you think?

Please try to make the time
For us to play
And to share a story with me
Each and every day
Because all too soon
Before your very eyes
I’ll grow up and have to say my goodbyes
But I’ll take along the memory
Of the time you took to read to me
So Mom and Dad I hope you’ll see
You’re sharing more than just a book with me
You’re helping mold me
Into the father that I’ll someday be
And when I have children of my own
I’ll pass these same stories on for them
To share with their children when they are grown.

I am having a little girl sometime round’ the corner, and this poem is BEAUTIFUL!
